Before we get started, if you don’t know what a kong is: A kong is a rubber toy with a hollow center that you can fill with food to keep your dog entertained while trying to eat. You can use these for your dog’s meal or as a treat. To buy a kong, you can get one pretty cheap on Amazon. Now for our list!

List of Kong Recipes
Apple Pie
Ingredients:
- 3 slices of apple
- 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/2 ripe banana
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
Directions:Chop apple slices and banana into 1-inch pieces and mix with yogurt. Stuff the mixture into the kong and seal the end with the peanut butter. Freeze overnight.

King Kong Ravioli
Ingredients:
- 1/3 cup unsalted raw cashews
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup dry kibble
- 1/4 cup deli meat
- 1 piece ravioli
Directions:Place the ingredients, in the order listed, into the kong in layers. Microwave the kong for about 15 seconds to melt the cheese and then let it cool for about 2 minutes.

Soup’s On!
Ingredients:
- 1-2 cups low sodium chicken broth
- Shredded carrot
- Peas
- Lightly steamed green beans
- Raw celery chunks
Directions:Use a chunk of carrot to stop up the hole in the kong (make sure you have a tight seal). Put the kong toy into a mug with the sealed end down and fill with low-sodium chicken broth. Add in the other ingredients and freeze.
Kong-Coction
Ingredients:
- 1 diced banana
- 1 diced apple
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 1 handful kibble or treats
Directions:Using a knife, line the inside edges with the peanut butter. Then place the larger fruit pieces in towards the bottom and sprinkle the kibble/treat over the top. Seal the hole with a bit of peanut butter.
Fido’s Fruit Salad
Ingredients:
- Cottage cheese or plain unsweetened yogurt
- Apple
- Banana
- Melon
- One small marshmallow
Directions:Cut fruit into chunks and place them into the kong, filling it until the toy is about two-thirds of the way full. Holding the kong upside down, spoon the cottage cheese or yogurt into the remaining space. Finally, finish by putting a small marshmallow into the kong. Serve at room temperature or frozen.

Sweet Potato, Turkey and Liver Bites
Ingredients:
- 1 small jar each of turkey baby food
- 1 small jar sweet potato baby food
- 1 cup of plain unsweetened yogurt
- 1 handful of beef liver treats
Directions:Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl. Fill your kong with the mixture and freeze overnight.

Mutt and Cheese
Ingredients:
- 1 cube of Velveeta cheese
- Choice of noodles
Directions:Cook noodles according to directions on box. Fill the kong toy with the noodles. Melt the cube of Velveeta in the microwave until it becomes gooey (not runny), checking and stirring at 30 second intervals. Pour the gooey cheese over the noodles.

Doggie Dinner
Ingredients:
- About 1 cup ground meat (chicken, turkey or beef)
- 1 cup of a grain (potatoes, brown rice, cooked oatmeal, or crumbled wheat bread)
- 1 tablespoon of kidney beans
- 1 tablespoon of your dog’s favorite raw or lightly steamed vegetables
Directions:Fill the kong toy about 1/2 full with your ground meat and about 1/2 of your grain. Place your kidney beans and vegetables in at the end.

Egg-ceedingly Tasty
Ingredients:
- 1 scrambled egg
- 1 hotdog chopped into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup boiled white rice
Directions:Using a fork, mash the scrambled egg and rice together in a bowl. Next, mix in the chopped hotdog. Fill the Kong, using a chunk of hotdog to plug the end.

The Elvis Presley
Ingredients:
- 2 sliced bananas
- 3 tbsp peanut butter
- bacon-flavored dog treats
- 3 tbsp greek yogurt
DirectionsStart by sealing up the end of the kong toy with peanut butter. Then mix the remaining peanut butter, greek yogurt and bacon-flavored treats together and pour into the kong.

Shepherd’s Pie
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of baked potato
- 1/2 cup boiled ground beef
- 1/8 tsp parsley
- 2 tbsp shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:Mash the baked potato in a bowl and combine with ground beef, cheddar cheese and parsley. Stuff the kong toy with the mixture.

Ingredients:
- Shredded steak scraps
- 1 tbsp cream cheese
Directions:Fill kong toy as desired with small scraps of shredded steak. Seal the large hole with cream cheese.

Coconut Banana Frosty
Ingredients:
- 1 cup plain unsweetened yogurt
- 1 tsp coconut oil
- 1 banana sliced into 1-inch chunks
Directions:Mix the yogurt and coconut oil together in a small bowl. Pour into the mold and place sliced bananas on top. Freeze overnight.

Ingredients:
- 1/3 can cooked pumpkin
- 1/2 an apple (shredded)
- 2 pinches ground flax seed
- Liquid from 1 can of salmon (or canned protein of choice)
Directions:In a small bowl, stir all ingredients together. Stuff into kong.

Ingredients:
- 1 banana
- 1 cup plain unsweetened yogurt
- 1/3 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup pineapple chunks
Directions:Stuff 1 piece of banana into the small hole in the kong to close it. Then chop banana and pineapple into small chunks and mix with yogurt and coconut. Freeze overnight.

Kibble-sicle
Ingredients:
- 1 can low sodium chicken broth
- 1 cup of your dog’s favorite kibble
- 3 tablespoons peanut butter
Directions:Seal the small hole in the kong toy with peanut butter, then place that end down into a mug or cup that will hold the toy. Add a layer of dog kibble and pour in some of the chicken broth. Add another tablespoon of peanut butter, then another layer of dog kibble and chicken broth. Seal the large end with peanut butter and then freeze overnight.
Veggie Omlet
Ingredients:
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup of your dog’s favorite veggies
Directions:Scramble the egg and fold in your veggies. Pour the mixture into the kong toy and top with shredded cheese. Put the kong toy into the microwave for about 15 seconds to melt the cheese and allow to cool for about 2 minutes.
